MARIA COSTANZA WHITE SICILY D.O.P.

Excellent and fresh Sicilian white wine “Maria Costanza Bianco” G. Milazzo. Its straw-green color is particularly pleasant. On the olfactory level it is extremely pure with hints of tropical fruit and intense balsamic notes. It surprises for the perfect harmony between intensity and elegance of the perfumes. In the mouth it is rich, structured with good long and persistent flavor.

METHOD OF COLLECTION:

VINIFICATION:

Soft pressing with closed lung pneumatic presses. Fermentation at controlled temperature and with selected yeasts, part in steel (90%) e, minimally, in oak barriques (10%)

MATURATION:

During the refinement of about 6 months the wine is constantly subjected to "bâtonnage" to favor the lysis of the yeasts. Maturation in the bottle for approx 2 months

13 % Vol

The Maria Costanza Bianco represents a milestone in Sicilian viticulture. Our company was in fact the first to blend Inzolia and Chardonnay to give life to this elegant white wine..

WORK IN THE CELLAR

Controlled temperature pressing. The must, further refrigerated, undergoes a clarification of 12-24 hours after which alcoholic fermentation begins.

Part of the musts ferment in steel at a low temperature and part ferment in French oak barrels, specially selected for the aging of white wines.

The wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation and are kept on their lees until the following spring by "batônage". The wine matures at least 2 months in the bottle before release.

SENSORY NOTES

It has a beautiful straw yellow color with green reflections. On the nose it is seductive. Opening, hints of white flowers go well with aromatic vegetables, then enveloping notes of citrus flowers and leaves emerge. In the mouth it is full and with a beautiful structure, the flavor guarantees a great gustative persistence.
