DESCRIPTION:
Catarratto Lucido : discovering the unique scents of the Milazzo selection
A unique terroir the Terre della Baronia with its own 9 areas and related sub areas. The Garcitella area where we grow this selection of Catarratto Lucido offers an environment particularly suitable for enhancing the characteristics of this variety. Here the vines give life to bunches that give aromas of ripe tropical fruit rich in nuances, with greater verticality and an evident acidic backbone.
WORK IN THE CELLAR
In order to enhance the thiol expression – tropical landscape of Catarratto, the grapes are pressed whole under nitrogen, completing the entire production cycle up to bottling, completely protected from oxygen. This is achieved by saturating the tanks and carrying out the transfers in counter pressure with nitrogen.
SENSORY NOTES
Of a beautiful intense straw yellow color with green reflections. Clear notes of white fruit on the nose, ripe pear and white melon, it closes with a complex finish where an aromatic vegetable spiciness emerges that is very reminiscent of lemon balm. On the palate it shows an important structure, enhanced by a nice acidic note that supports gustatory persistence.
