It was the 1773 when a wealthy merchant from Liverpool named John landed by chance on the Marsala coast and, adding alcohol to the local wine to be able to take it with you to England, he was the first to create Marsala wine.
Color: intense amber.
Scent: pleasant notes of apricot and carob with slight hints of thyme and black pepper.
Gusto: full and warm, with hints of apricot and candied fruit.
Traditional: all Sicilian desserts with ricotta and pastry creams.
Unconventional: quince glazed with cane sugar in a roll of Nebrodi black ham.
